Picture book layout built around KDP's print rules.

Bring your illustrations. BookSpreader splits two-page spreads cleanly at the fold, sizes every page with exact bleed, and flags the margin, resolution and page-count problems KDP commonly rejects, before you upload.

Made for picture books

Seamless spreads

One wide illustration becomes two pages that meet exactly at the fold. Text lands on the right page, and you're warned when it drifts into the gutter.

Exact KDP sizes

Every picture-book trim size with 0.125" bleed on the outside edges and none on the spine, sized to KDP's published print specifications.

Preflight before upload

Catches text too close to the edge, low-resolution art, spreads that start on the wrong page, and page counts KDP won't print.

Private by design

Runs in your browser, even on a Chromebook, and works offline. Your illustrations never leave your computer.

Questions

Which browsers does it work in?: Chrome and Microsoft Edge on Windows, Mac and ChromeOS. Other browsers can't save your book safely to a folder yet.
What do I need?: Your finished illustrations as PNG or JPEG files, ideally 300 DPI at the printed size.
Where is my book saved?: In your browser and in a folder you choose on your computer, so clearing browser data doesn't lose your work.
What does $19 get me?: A license that removes the PROOF watermark from one book. Re-export that book as often as you need, for paperback and hardcover.
What if it doesn't work for my book?: Email us within 14 days for a full refund. See the refund policy.
